How to Reach Auli Snow View Trek

By Air:-

The closest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is approximately 270 kilometers (170 miles) from Auli. The airport has daily flights to Delhi. Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi is roughly 480 kilometers (300 miles) away from Auli.

By Train:-

Rishikesh railway station (250 kilometers (160 mi)) and Dehradun railway station (290 kilometers (180 mi)) are the closest railway stations. Vishnu Prayag, Gorson Bugyal, Kuari Pass, Joshimath, Badrinath, and Tapovan are all nearby sights. In 2011,  the first South Asian Winter Games were held in Auli and Dehradun.

By Road:-

Joshimath, which is 16 kilometers away, is the nearest town to Auli. UPSRTC buses run regularly from this town to surrounding destinations such as Rishikesh (250 km), Haridwar (273 km), and Dehradun (293 km). There are excellent bus and taxi options available.


Itinerary of Auli Snow View Trek

Day 1: Delhi – Rishikesh

On day one, take an AC train from Delhi to Haridwar in the morning to reach your first destination. Travel to Rishikesh by car after arriving at Haridwar train station. When you arrive in Rishikesh, check into your accommodation and relax for a while. The evening is free to spend as you like. You may attend Ganga Aarti at Parmarth or go shopping in Rishikesh’s local market. Return to the hotel for supper and an overnight stay later.

Day 2: Rishikesh – Joshimath (245km / 8 hours)

After breakfast, depart for Joshimath via Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnprayag. When you arrive, check into a hotel in Joshimath and relax for a bit. Later in the evening, depart to spend some quality time at Shankaracharya Math and Narsingh Temple, two of the area’s prominent attractions.

Day 03: Joshimath – Auli (By Ropeway)

Get a chance to ride the cable car from Joshimath to Auli. The ropeway is one of India’s largest and tallest ropeways. It allows motorcyclists to take in the breathtaking vistas of the Himalayan Mountains. When you get to Auli, check into a hotel and spend the night unwinding.

Day 04-05: Auli 

Depart for Gorson Bugyal, a 3-kilometer hike from Auli. This short walk will provide hikers the opportunity to observe the breathtaking Himalayan ranges and have a once-in-a-lifetime trekking experience. Skiing is also available here. Overnight stay in Auli at a hotel.

Day 07: Rishikesh – Delhi (230 km/6 hours)

On the final day of your journey, depart Rishikesh early in the morning for Haridwar railway station, where you will board an AC train to Delhi.
