If you want to travel by train, then the nearest railway station to Gangtok is 148km away in New Jalpaiguri in Siliguri. From there, you can hire a taxi or get a bus ticket and reach Gangtok in 5-6 hours.

It is my personal favorite thing to do first when I’ll be in Gangtok. I love doing these kinds of adventurous activities. And this sports activity tops my itinerary because the thrill of witnessing an aerial view of Gangtok with mountains around would be an amazing experience.
