The trail spans approximately 12 kilometers, winding through diverse landscapes adorned with bamboo and deodar trees. Departing from Taluka, we will follow a stone pathway that gradually descends to the riverbed, crossing several bridges along the way—one wooden and one cement. As we continue, we'll ascend toward an open ground, offering opportunities to engage with the local community. After approximately two hours of trekking, we'll arrive at the picturesque Ghangad village, characterized by its charming wooden architecture. A short 20-minute walk from Ghangad will lead us to a Dhaba and a water-run mill, providing an enriching cultural experience. After enjoying breakfast in Seema, we will commence our trek in the morning. The trail initially descends as we walk alongside the picturesque Supin river. Upon reaching Ruinsara Valley, the path gradually ascends, leading us to the breathtaking Debshu Bugyal after approximately 30 minutes of walking. This expansive pastureland stretches over 2 kilometers and serves as our resting point, offering panoramic views of Kala Nag and Black Peak. Continuing on, we'll encounter a section of the trail covered with slippery stones as we cross a bridge, followed by a steep climb ahead. To our left, the stunning vistas of the Har ki Dun valley and Ruinsara rivers will unfold. Today, we embark on a trek towards the enchanting Ruinsara Lake. Our journey spans approximately 3-4 hours from the camping site until we arrive at this captivating water body, where the surrounding glaciers glisten in the distance. Our camping destination for the day lies nestled between the serene Supin river and the picturesque Ruinsara Lake, surrounded by lush meadows and towering snow-capped peaks on the horizon. As we take in the breathtaking scenery, we'll be treated to panoramic views of majestic mountain ranges such as Bandarpoonch, Kala Nag, Dhumdhar Khai, and White Peak, which dominate the sky with their imposing presence. Ruinsara Tal to Odari
Our day begins with a brief 10-minute descent trek towards the riverbed. Here, we'll navigate the ice-cold waters by forming a human chain, ensuring safe passage across. En route, we'll be treated to more awe-inspiring views before continuing our trek towards Odari. At Odari, we'll have the opportunity to explore a rock cave near our camping site. According to local beliefs, this cave served as a resting place for Bali, the brother of Lord Krishna, for a night—an intriguing glimpse into the region's cultural and historical significance.

Day 6:
Odari to Bali Col camp
Odari to Bali Col camp
Today's trek presents a more challenging terrain, with steep inclines reaching up to 60 degrees. The path is strewn with loose rocks and scree, adding to the difficulty of the journey, particularly considering the significant elevation gain. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent altitude sickness (AMS) at this altitude. From this vantage point, the majestic Swargarohini ranges come into full view, offering a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding landscape. Continuing along the trail, we will proceed towards the funnel valley, where we anticipate reaching the top of the first ridge within 1-2 hours. Beyond this ridge lies the awe-inspiring ice fields of Odari, a sight to behold. As night falls, temperatures are expected to plummet below sub-zero degrees, emphasizing the need for adequate preparation and warm clothing.

Day 7:
Bali Col Camp To Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass
Bali Col Camp To Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass
Today, our journey takes us across the Bali Pass as we make our way towards Lower Dhamni. The trail leading to Lower Dhamni is steep and entirely blanketed in snow, requiring approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to ascend. Upon reaching the summit, we'll be rewarded with stunning views of the Yamunotri side of the valley. The final climb down from the pass is equally challenging, featuring a steep descent of almost 90 degrees along a narrow path. It is imperative to employ proper techniques and follow the guidance of our experienced guide. Once we conquer this demanding section, we will arrive at Dhamni. From here, the trail becomes more straightforward and visible, although it's advised to stick close to the guide as certain sections may be confusing. We will proceed to our designated campsite where we will spend the night in tents, reflecting on the day's triumphs and challenges amidst the tranquil wilderness.

Day 8:
Lower Dhamni to Janki Chatti and Drive to Dehradun
Lower Dhamni to Janki Chatti and Drive to Dehradun
Today marks the final leg of our trekking adventure. The majority of the trail will be descending, with some sections featuring well-paved cement pathways for ease of travel. There is a slight ascent towards Yamunotri, which will take approximately 1-2 hours to complete. After bidding farewell to the majestic Himalayas, we will embark on a 6-7 hour road journey from Chatti back to Dehradun. As we journey homeward, we'll carry with us cherished memories of our trekking expedition through the breathtaking landscapes of the Garhwal Himalayas.
