Day 01:
Bhagsu To Triund
Bhagsu To Triund
Start your journey from McLeod Ganj early in the morning. You can reach McLeod Ganj from Dharamshala by taxi or bus. Begin the trek from Bhagsu, McLeod Ganj. The trail to Triund is well-marked, and you can also hire a local guide if needed. McLeod Ganj to Triund usually takes around 4-6 hours depending on your pace and fitness level. The distance is approximately 8 kilometers. Along the way, you'll pass through lush green forests, meadows, and several small tea shops where you can take short breaks. Once you reach Triund, we will setup your camp at one of the designated camping sites. Triund offers stunning views of the Dhauladhar mountain range, especially during sunrise and sunset. Enjoy evening Spend the evening relaxing at the campsite with tea and snacks, enjoying the scenic beauty around you. You can also explore the area or interact with fellow trekkers.

Day 02:
Triund To Mcleodganj
Triund To Mcleodganj
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the mountains. This is a magical experience and shouldn't be missed. After breakfast, you can choose to explore nearby attractions. Begin your descent back to McLeod Ganj. The trek downhill is relatively easier and takes around 3-4 hours. Once you reach McLeod Ganj, you can either stay the night or continue your journey to other destinations.

The Triund trek offers a year-round adventure, except during the monsoon months of July and August and the coldest winter periods in January and February. Ideal trekking conditions are found during spring and summer, from March to June, when the weather is most favorable. During April and May, adding an extra layer of warm clothing ensures comfort while trekking. The post-monsoon season, particularly in September and October, provides clear views of the majestic mountain peaks along the trekking route. December marks the onset of snowfall, adding a magical touch to the experience.

How to Reach Base Camp

By Air:

The nearest airport to Bhagsu is the Gaggal Airport (DHM), also known as Kangra Airport, located approximately 14 kilometers away in Kangra. From the airport, you can take a taxi or a pre-booked car to reach Bhagsu, which is about a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic.

By Train:

The nearest major railway station is Pathankot Railway Station (PTK), which is well-connected to major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. From Pathankot, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Bhagsu, which is about a 3-4 hour drive through scenic mountain roads.

By Road:

 

Bhagsu is well-connected by road, and buses operate regularly from nearby cities like Dharamshala and Pathankot. Private taxis and shared cabs are also available for hire from these locations. If you're driving, Bhagsu is easily accessible via the NH503 highway, with ample parking available in and around the village.
