Overview
The highest peak in the lower Himalayas of the Garhwal area around Mussoorie is Nag Tibba, which means Serpents Peak in Hindi. Nag Tibba Range is also named after it, one of the three Lesser Himalayan mountains (the other two being Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal). Long ago, it was believed to be the home of the Snake God or Nag Devta.
Nag Tibba is known as the abode of Nag Devta, the God of Snakes. The word nag means snake. ‘Tibba’ means peak in the local language. Nag Devta is often worshipped here by local villagers who offer flowers and receive blessings. Snakes are symbols of rebirth, death, and mortality in Hindu mythology, as they cast their skin and are symbolically reborn.

- Meet at Dehradun and embark on a scenic drive to Pantwari Village, the starting point of the Nag Tibba trek.
- Arrive at Pantwari Village and meet your trekking guide.
- Begin the trek to the Nag Tibba base camp, immersing yourself in the beauty of the Himalayan foothills.
- Reach the base camp, set up tents, and enjoy a delicious dinner under the starry sky.
- Overnight stay at the base camp.
- Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the mountains.
- Have a hearty breakfast and prepare for the trek to the Nag Tibba summit.
- Trek through dense forests, enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and peaks.
- Reach the summit of Nag Tibba and revel in the panoramic vistas of the snow-capped Himalayas.
- Spend some time soaking in the serenity of the summit before beginning the descent.
- Descend back to the base camp, where a warm meal awaits.
- Pack up your belongings and trek back to Pantwari Village.
- Bid farewell to the mountains and drive back to Dehradun.
