The Masroor Rock Cut Temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas during their exile, according to local legend. Historians, however, date it to the 8th century, during the time of early Hindu temple construction in North India. The temples are dedicated to Hindu deities, primarily Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Goddess Parvati, and are adorned with remarkable sculptures and carvings. Despite enduring partial destruction from an earthquake in 1905, the temples continue to stand as a testament to the architectural brilliance of ancient India.
