The Hampta Pass Trek, at 14,000 feet in Himachal Pradesh, is a stunning adventure that includes one of the most spectacular mountain crossings in the Himalayas. The trek is well-known for its spectacular contrasts: the lush green Kullu Valley, with its woods, meadows, and blossoming flowers, contrasts sharply with the dry, desolate landscapes of Lahaul and Spiti, which are noted for their steep terrain and brilliant blue skies.

Starting in the lovely town of Manali, this six-day journey spans around 26 km and passes through a variety of landscapes, including thick woods, wide meadows, and flowing waterfalls. As you approach the pass, you'll encounter several ledges that add to the thrill and excitement. You'll notice stunning surprises like the Himalayan Blue Poppy, Pink wild Geranium, and changing forests of apple orchards, deodar, and oak trees.

Why this Trek?

  1. Stunning View: The trek offers a mesmerizing contrast from the lush green Kullu Valley to the barren, rugged landscape of Lahaul and Spiti. Standing atop Hampta Pass, you'll be amazed by the vastly different worlds on either side.
  2. Breathtaking Chandratal Lake: Experience the enchanting beauty of the alpine Chandratal Lake, a crescent-shaped marvel nestled in the hills at around 14,000 feet, perfect for trekking, and photography.
