Nubra Sand Dunes

Nubra Sand Dunes, located in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, offer a surreal experience of golden dunes set against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains. These dunes, found near Hunder village, provide a stark contrast to the rugged Himalayan landscape and are famous for their Bactrian camel rides, which were once an integral part of the ancient Silk Route trade.

Nubra Valley, also known as the "Valley of Flowers", lies at an altitude of around 10,000 feet and is formed by the confluence of the Shyok and Nubra rivers. The dunes, spread across this cold desert, create an oasis-like setting amidst barren mountains.
