Begin your adventure from Bhagsunag Taxi Stand in McLeod Ganj, where you'll meet your trek leader and fellow trekkers for a briefing session. The trek to Triund covers a distance of about 7 kilometers and is generally easy, with a few moderately challenging stretches. As you hike through dense pine forests, enjoy the stunning valley views and take a pit stop at the famous Magic View Café. After 5-6 hours of trekking, you’ll reach the top of Triund, where you can check into your camp, freshen up, and spend some leisure time soaking in the breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar Ranges. In the evening, relish a hearty dinner by a bonfire under a starry sky before retiring to your tent for the night.

Triund to Laka Glacier and Return to Triund Campsite
Wake up early to the awe-inspiring views of the Dhauladhar Ranges. After a hearty breakfast, start your trek to Laka Glacier, which takes about 3-4 hours. The trail offers scenic views of snow-clad mountains as you make your way to Laka Got, a temporary shepherd encampment near the glacier. Upon reaching the glacier, enjoy a packed lunch while marveling at the beauty of the Himalayas. Spend some leisure time playing in the snow before starting your descent back to the Triund campsite. Upon arrival, witness a mesmerizing sunset with a cup of hot tea. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the camps.

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise and the stunning views of the snow-covered Dhauladhar Mountains. After breakfast, begin your downhill trek back to McLeod Ganj. The descent is easier and quicker, allowing you to reach by afternoon. Bid a warm farewell to your fellow trekkers as your trek concludes.

How to Reach Base Camp

 

By Train: 

The nearest railway station to McLeodganj is Pathankot, about 90 km away. From Pathankot, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach McLeodganj.

By Bus: 

McLeodganj is well-connected by road. Regular bus services, including state-run and private buses, are available from major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Manali. Overnight Volvo buses from Delhi are a popular option.

By Flight: 

The nearest airport is Gaggal Airport (Dharamshala Airport), approximately 20 km from McLeodganj. From the airport, you can take a taxi or bus to reach McLeodganj.
